Ein Mensch hat dreierlei Wege, klug zu handeln: Erstens: Durch Nachdenken - das ist der edelste. Zweitens: Durch Nachahmen - das ist der leichteste. Drittens: Durch Erfahrung - das ist der bitterste.

Corruption in China The Worst kind of Treason
Everywhere, since ancient times, peole have feared government corruption for, unlike war or fraud, corrupt policies cripple nations for centuries. No society has suffered more grievously from–nor waged more protracted war against–official corruption than the Chinese. Today however, though the story not over, it is nearing a goal that could make them the envy of the world and, like most Chinese stories, theirs is a long one.

How The Win-Win-Win-Win Plan For Syria`s Northeast Succeeds
The Syrian and Russian operations in the northeast of Syria are going well. Russian troops prevented attempts by Turkish supported Jihadis to attack Manbij. Russian and Syrian units have now also entered Ayn al-Arab/Kobani. Syrian government troops took control of the electricity producing dam in Tabqah and some units set up posts in Raqqa. Other units entered the Conoco and Al-Umar oil fields north of Abu Kahmal and east of Deir Ezzor. Some local tribe which profited from the oil explorations there held a small protest against the return of government control.

Everybody Betraying Everybody in Syria
Washington has never gotten over the fact that Syria for over half a century has never bowed to U.S. or Israeli hegemony in the region, and has all along been a strong supporter of Syria’s secular —yes secular —Arab nationalism. The U.S. has therefore shown great willingness to “fight to the last Syrian” if necessary to achieve its ends.

It’s curtains for US in Syria. Russia, Iran owe big thanks to Erdogan
Turkey’s Operation Peace Spring in Northern Syria has reportedly advanced to a 1000 square kilometers area. The scenario agreed on behind the curtains through months of confidential exchanges, often one-on-one, between the Russian and Turkish leaders regarding north-eastern Syria is entering a critical phase of implementation on the ground with the agreement between the Kurds and the Assad regime.

Military Industrial Complex Reveals Major Problem in US Hypersonic Weapon Development

Lockheed Martin, for its part, says it is doing everything in its power to ensure the flow of materials and engineers for the development of hypersonic weapons in the country.

Winners and Losers in the Turkish attack on Kurds in Syria? Part 2 of 3
Turkish forces invaded north-east Syria (NES) only when it had coordinated with the US to define the red line of the invasion. Moreover, both superpowers, the US and Russia, protected Turkey by blocking an EU-drafted UN resolution to halt the Turkish advance. Turkey refused to allow the US to arm, train and give an independent state to the Syrian Kurds on the Turkish borders and simultaneously keep Turkey as an ally. President Donald Trump had no choice but to accept Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s position over that of the Kurdish separatists. Russia considered the Turkish presence in NES much easier to deal with than the US forces and the disillusionment of the Kurds with their US mentor worth allowing President Erdogan’s operation.

Winners and Losers in the Turkish attack on the Kurds in Syria (part 3 of 3)
In the Levant, the US has dramatically failed to reach its objectives, but it has succeeded in waking Russia from its long hibernation, to challenge the US unilateral hegemony of the world and to develop new forms of alliance. Iran has also challenged the US hegemony incrementally since the 1979 “Islamic Revolution”. Iran has planned meticulously, and patiently built a chain of allies connecting different parts of the Middle East. Now, after 37 years, Iran can boast a necklace of robust allies in Palestine, Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, Yemen and Afghanistan- who are all ready, if necessary, to take up arms to defend Iran. Iran, in fact, has greatly benefited from US mistakes.

The Russian Masterpiece in Syria: Everyone Wins
Moscow has managed to maintain contacts with all parties in the conflict, even in spite of its stance against partition and illegal foreign presence. Trilateral talks between Iran, Turkey and Russia occurred in Astana at Moscow’s urging. Putin managed to bring together in Sochi the Syrian government and opposition groups to discuss the future of Syria. In Geneva, Moscow mediated between Damascus and the international community, shielding Syria from the diplomatic skulduggery of the US and other enemies of Syria.

Russia And The European Union (I)
After the end of the USSR in 1991, Russia, at that time both weakened and isolated, was becoming a less popular area of investigation and studies compared with the period during the Cold War. However, since the year of 2004, Russia is “back” in the global political arena when Moscow rejected the European Neighboring Policy’s game with the European Union (the EU). Those who argued that Russia was already irrelevant in global politics since 2004 had to realize their error of judgment. Today, Russia is “back” as a military, economic, and political Great Power with tremendous energy resources.[i] Recovering Russia’s global power, in fact, started with a self-confidence policy by Moscow toward the EU and its bureaucratic apparatus in Brussels. Nevertheless, the EU is still one of the focal strategic partners to Russia and vice versa.

Shamkhani: U.S. trying to give new life to Daesh
Shamkani’s remarks came in a meeting with Alexander Lavrentiev, the special envoy of the Russian president, during which the sides discussed regional and international issues. Pointing to the U.S. plot to revive Daesh and create insecurity in the Middle East, Shamkhani called on regional nations to be more vigilant about such plots and embark on close coordination to counter the ill-wishers’ destabilizing measures. Shamkhani further condemned double-standard approach towards the issue of terrorism, including in the northwestern Syrian province of Idlib.

Trump Slammed the Military Industrial Complex and Advocated a Sovereign Syria
Changing brands/flags/logos, etc has been a key element of the complex “hybrid” war in Syria. Today he’s Nusra, tomorrow he’s FSA, next week he’s an “Operation Peace Spring” soldier. And the same applies to the SDF: recycled ISIS militants airlifted to safety by the US. To elaborate a bit: the CIA doesn’t want the facts on the ground to reach social media undistorted. Thus, there is a need to manipulate the aesthetics of the war. This is known as “fourth generation warfare”. Folks like Brett McGurk are responsible for such rebranding.

US Finally Bombs French Factory in Syria Infamous for Funding ISIS
As spectacular and indicative of America`s sinking fortunes in Syria as its bombing of its own military base in northern Syria was - it is also an indicator of something else much more sinister.

Syrian Kurds, “Allies of Convenience” to US
Henry Kamens - All good things come to an end; therefore, it was expected that the US support to Kurds and regional stability would come to an end–sooner or later. But before taking up the human rights line and saying “but they were the friends of the United States, fought side-by-side,”etc, one should also consider the political realities and historic precedents.

Bedouin mass eviction is part of Israel’s efforts to drive Palestinians off their historic lands
The decades-long struggle by tens of thousands of Israelis against being uprooted from their homes – some for the second or third time – should be proof enough that Israel is not the western-style liberal democracy it claims to be. Last week 36,000 Bedouin – all of them Israeli citizens – discovered that their state is about to make them refugees in their own country, driving them into holding camps. These Israelis, it seems, are the wrong kind. Their treatment has painful echoes of the past. In 1948, 750,000 Palestinians were expelled by the Israeli army outside the borders of the newly declared Jewish state established on their homeland – what the Palestinians call their Nakba, or catastrophe.

World`s Biggest Pilgrimage Now Underway, And Why You`ve Never Heard of it!
It`s not the Muslim Hajj, or the Hindu Kumbh Mela.. Known as Arbaeen, it is the world`s most populous gathering and you`ve probably never heard of it! Not only does the congregation exceed the number of visitors to Mecca (by a factor of five, in fact), it is more significant than Kumbh Mela, since the latter is only held every third year. In short, Arbaeen dwarfs every other rally on the planet, reaching twenty million last year. That is a staggering %60 of Iraq`s entire population, and it is growing year after year.
